L’Oreal BB Magique Creams

ImageAs I mentioned in Tuesday’s post, I went to Priceline’s 30 Days of Fashion and Beauty workshop and was given a couple of product names to try out by the lovely make-up artist, Helen Dowlsey. She mentioned these L’oreal BB Magique Creams and as I hadn’t tried any BB creams to date (I know, what kind of beauty blogger am I?!) I thought I’d try them out.

I must admit that after a couple of days of trying it I’m still not used to wearing the BB face cream, as it’s quite a light coverage compared to my usual foundation. It almost feels like I’m not wearing any make-up at all, which I haven’t decided if that’s a good or a bad thing. It definitely gives my skin coverage but perhaps not as much as I’d like it to. I still find blemishes show through.

ImageI absolutely love the blush though. I’ve been on the look out for a cream blush and loved the look of this one. It comes out of the applicator looking like soft pink gel, but you only have to apply a little bit of it for an intense colour to show up. I think this one is definitely a winner.

What do you think? Have you used L’oreal BB Magique Creams and if so what do you think of them?

    • Yeah I don’t know whether I’m being too harsh or maybe it’s just my skin type but I didn’t think it was overly fabulous. The blush on the other hand is a game changer. The colour is amazing! 🙂

      • I think that the BB creams are just another product that is supposed to be amazing but it really isn’t. I haven’t heard of a woman that uses a BB cream every single day and swears by it…
I am going to have too look for that here in the states 🙂

      • I just feel like if you have great skin to start with then maybe it’d work for you. It’s definitely not to be used for blemishes or redness, like in my case. Oh well, the search continues…

  1. The two BB Creams that I would actually recommend is the one by Smashbox – Camera Ready BB Cream. It gives good coverage and is buildable. A more affordable BB Cream that I pretty good is the Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream. I use this as an everyday base for my face. You’d still need a bit of concealer but, at least it’s buildable unlike the L’Oreal Nude Magique. The BB Blush though? That’s another story altogether. I do love that for a little bit of flush on my cheeks.

  2. Etta and Rosie I totes agree- I’ve tried a few BB creams and all I can see is all my blemishes showing straight through! But Rosie you can get away with it- that divine complexion. Blush looks fab too! So fresh la x

Now it's your turn...let me know what you think. I love reading your comments! :)
