Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival Opening Night

ImageI’m truly feeling Lady Luck is shining down on me lately as I was super-dooper lucky to win tickets to the opening night of the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival – and VIP tix no less! (thanks again Northland!!) Last night Erin and I frocked up (wearing my St Pat’s Day inspired green Francesca dress + Nine West nude shoes) and made our way down to Central Pier to hobnob with all the fancy fashionistas for the opening event featuring the runway show by David Jones.

The night started off with taking pics with the Westfield Hunks *ahem* and hopping into the Ted Baker photo booth as well as having a play in the L’Oreal make-up tent, then Erin and I strolled into the VIP lounge for some bubbles and canapés, and I bumped into Kirsty from Geelong Fashionista which was very exciting! Now I’ve met two blogging friends this year which is something I wouldn’t have dreamed of a year ago.

ImageI also managed to score a pic with Jackie Gillies from Real Housewives of Melbourne, which I am tragically a big fan of! What’s not to love? It’s set in Melbourne (my home town) + there are stylish, catty women = perfect TV! But I digress…

Pics from Instagram – as my snaps turned out really crappy!

We all then made our way into the runway venue (thank you 4th row!) and got to witness the gala opening Autumn/Winter collection from such designers as Camilla and Marc, Finders Keepers, Industrie, Jac + Jack, Mimco, Scanlan Theodore and Tigerlily plus many more. Gorgeous, gorgeous pieces and the fabulous thing is you can shop the runway as the whole collection is available at David Jones!

VAMFF continues until the 23rd of March, with different runway shows and special events each day, if you get a chance go check it out.
