OOTD: A Casual Affair

Wanna know my favourite part of the weekend? ALL OF IT! I love sleeping in and not having an alarm clock wake me. I love having the option of going out for breakfast or just hanging about at home. What I especially love is going out to the movies. Love it, love it, love it, can’t get enough of it! I’ve always said there’s a certain type of magic that happens when the lights go dim and the movie starts to play.

Last weekend I went to see “Saint Laurent” (review to come next week) as part of the French Film Festival that’s currently on. Taking inspo from the French I popped this outfit together with thoughts of a casual and effortless day out in ParisΒ – with a Rosie twist.

For today’sΒ OOTD I took my favourite boyfriend jeans and teamed them with myΒ new baby pink OneOneSeven knit from Mico. I’m not sure if the pics do it justice, but it has clear sequins all over it to give it that extra pizzazz. Then to finish I added my Drunk on Water scarf as a belt (scarves really have multiple purposes!) and new ballet flats from Kmart that I got that day from my sis as an early birthday present. Aren’t I a lucky girl?! Oh and let’s not forget that lips clutch that was a gorgeous Christmas gift last year. Super spoilt!

What do you love doing on the weekend?

  1. Kez sent me over, Rosie and I’m so glad she did. Just seeing your scarf would have been enough, but to add your gorgeous smile just tops it off for me. x

  2. Love scarf as belt, and love the jeans. I can’t seem to wear boyfriend jeans, they always look odd on me.

I think the ideal weekend is one where we catch up with those cool kind if people you laugh with without any bs, know what I mean?

    • Thank you! It’s pretty rare that I wear jeans, I tend to stick to skirts and dresses, I guess they’re more comfy for me.
I totally get you! The times where you don’t have to filter what you say and people love you anyway πŸ™‚ xo

  3. Sleeping in!!! Number one love on the weekend! Sometimes I like getting up before my Hubby and going down the street to buy real coffee, fresh croissants, ham and cheese. I bring it all back for him and make him ham and cheese toasted croissants for brekkie. It’s a nice little thing I do for him sometimes, romance is the little things after 7.5 years together πŸ™‚

  4. Very lovely combinations of the outfits…… You are looking just stunning in these amazing combinations of blue jeans, dazzling pair of shoes and the fabulous red colored handbag………… You use a scarf as a belt and like your fashion thought very much. You are looking gorgeous in these pictures. Thank you very much for sharing this kind of outstanding post with us.

Now it's your turn...let me know what you think. I love reading your comments! :)
