IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness Cream

IT cosmetics bye bye redness cream

I don’t know how many times I’ve complained about my red, patchy skin on this blog and today is no exception! Ugh, if you have problem skin you know the STRUGGLE IS REAL! Whether it’s acne or rosacea you know that it’s so tough to keep your skin looking and feeling good.  My skin seems to suffer from poor diet choices as well as sensitivity to certain products. It may sound strange but if I overeat gluten it shows up on my face so I really do need to watch what I eat. Recently I’ve discovered that Canestan anti-fungal cream can help ease the dry scaly skin (thank you Google forums!), and even though it isn’t as bad the redness is still there.

I’ve been on the search for a colour corrector for the longest time and I’ve tried a lot of different products that have all disappointed (hello Maybelline concealer green stick thingy, I’m looking at you!) This was until I remembered my gorgeous pal KP had reviewed IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness Cream about a thousand years ago and urged me to get it. Of course I’d forgotten all about it until my recent Sydney trip when I went foraging in Sephora.

My first impression was why is there only one shade? Surely being a correcting cream/concealer there needs to be a handful of different shades to cover the rainbow of skin colours out there?! But apparently no is the answer! This little jar of awesomeness works on all skin types and colours. Here’s the spiel:

Bye Bye Redness™ Correcting Cream is a red neutralizing and correcting cream that completely cancels redness in your skin from view. Rich in Anti-Aging ingredients and technology, it instantly camouflages redness and any red-toned skin discolorations from rosacea, broken capillaries, blemished skin, irritated skin, sun damage, scars, age spots, physician procedures and more!

Gives perfect coverage that will never crease or crack and is designed to not only cover, but to make your skin appear supple, radiant, and flawless. Infused with soothing ingredients such as Anti-Aging Peptides, Collagen, Colloidal Oatmeal, Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe and Avocado.

…And here’s the proof! As you can see from the pics above one quick little dab of the cream and most of my redness is gone. Thankfully a little goes a long way (the little 11ml jar retails for $54 at Sephora in Oz OUCH!) so I just dip my make-up brush into the pot ever so slightly and then work the brush into my problem areas. Once it’s all worked in then I only have to use the tiniest amount of foundation to blend everything in all over my face. And for the first time in forever I only have to use concealer under my eyes and not on my cheeks! I was kind of lost when I got to this step as I didn’t need to hide any redness peaking through!! AH-mazing!

As I mentioned it’s a little on the pricey side but I figure if I only need to use a smidgen then it should last quite a while. I am thoroughly impressed with this product and now I wish I grabbed some more IT Cosmetics make-up. I love their CC Cream and next I’d really love to try their foundations, especially now since I found out that my shade of Lancôme foundation, that I bought in the US, isn’t available here in Oz (Lancôme in the US is made in the US and everywhere else in the world comes from France – anyone else know that?!). I’d also love to try their mascara because MASCARA!

    • Oh yeah, it’s nuts! We do get shafted here in Oz, but I think it’s still like $30+ in the US. I figure the products I use on my face a lot need to be great quality now that I’m getting older. Unfortunately I can’t get away with the cheaper stuff xo

    • Yup, usually I’d try to find a cheaper option but this speaks for itself. And like I mentioned you only have to use the tiniest amount so it should last a while (fingers crossed!) xo

  1. Oh my goodness! This is an effing miracle product boo! Haha forget the price tag, this is awesome. I really want to try colour correction for my dark marks, apparently MAC has some good ones ♥

  2. That’s really impressive! I would have thought that the only solution was to have a really, really thick layer or two of concealer or something – good to know that doesn’t have to be the case! I have constant red spots just because I’m lucky with genetics, haha. If only it worked against blushing, I’d be all set. I’m sure it does, but I’m not sure $54 a pot would be the best solution 😉

    • Hahaha not sure what the solution would be for blushing, but I find that a gorgeous feature so you shouldn’t cover it up! It is a lot, mind you that’s in AUD so we always get shafted on beauty products – think it’s about $30ish in the US. Thanks Erin xo
