30-Day Winter Wardrobe Challenge! Day 22: Clean Out!

30 day wardrobe challenge_day 22_02Day 22: Clean out the essentials in your purse

I chop and change my handbag and clutches so often that there really is no need to clear out my purse/bag. I tend to keep a pretty tidy ship; wallet, keys, phone, sunnies, 125 different lipsticks – you know the essentials! Instead of clearing out my purse today I’m clearing out my wardrobe, and as I mentioned at the beginning of the challenge, giving it a much needed tidying up.

I’ve slowly been going through and filling up a bag with all the clothes I haven’t worn in a while, items that just don’t “wow” me anymore and the odd “what were you thinking” pieces. It’s been a lovely cathartic experience and I’m very impressed with how many things I’m willing to let go of. The best thing is that I’M STILL NOT DONE! There’s about a week left in this challenge and handful of pieces I’m still ummming and aaahhing over and when the 30 days are up and I haven’t decided, well then they’ll just have to go!

  1. You should research the KonMarie method and write a price. Does it spark joy? Even hoes so far as how to fold and store your clothes and what to do with them in off seasons. The book is the life changing effect of tidying or something like that X

  2. I did this before we moved into our new home. Now that we are in there I have done it again as we have opened boxes and discovered things we haven’t seen in a couple of years because they were in storage. I am being pretty ruthless with the stuff I am throwing out and at the moment I am avoiding buying things too. Mostly because we are a little poor at the moment lol, but also because I want to clear everything out then really think about what I want to put in there moving forward. 🙂

      • Haha I get the regrets too. To be honest I have pulled out a pair of jeans that were in the toss bag, but I put them in there because they didn’t fit and now that I have lost 4.5kgs in 2 weeks I have hopes for them again as they are only a size smaller than what I am now. 🙂 How many kgs do you reckon is in a size? Hmm…
Meanwhile I found your Christmas card again the other day whilst unpacking and it made me smile xx

      • Funnily enough weight watchers. The secret wasn’t to eat less calories for me, it seems like eating more of the right stuff has kick-started me off. I have no illusions that this kind of loss per week will continue, but it’s keeping me motivated 🙂 x

Now it's your turn...let me know what you think. I love reading your comments! :)
