Melbourne Spring Fashion Week 2016; Spring Carnival Runway

Open the gates to a world where green lawns are flooded with breathtaking dresses, millinery and dapper suits – spring is here.

Spring has finally sprung and what better way to kick the new season off than heading to Melbourne Spring Fashion Week 2016 and the Spring Carnival Runway show?!

Last night I was down at the Melbourne Town Hall and was excited by the gorgeous ready to wear collections from Aquila, Keepsake, Nicola Finetti, Misha Collection, Asilio, C/MEO COLLECTIVE, Dom Bagnato, Martin Grant at Chrstine, White Suede, Trelise Cooper and Calibre.

I loved seeing what to expect this spring racing carnival season and getting a little early inspiration for my own Derby Day outfit (decisions are the WORST!). There were loads of full length skirts, lace, beautiful headwear and even some trousers thrown in for good measure – perhaps I’ll throw caution to the wind this season and wear a pant suit?!

Who’s off to the races this year? I bet my hat will be bigger than yours! (here’s hoping, we all know I love them BIG!)

Melbourne Spring Fashion Week wraps up today. Can you believe I only went to ONE event this year? I’m learning to tone things down and enjoy the moment(s) dollface, you would be proud of me!
